Positive: location Negative: Air Con was very noisey

I will not be returning. Positive: The location of the property was superb. Negative: Firstly the man on reception was non communicative and frankly very rude. His demeanour was appalling. The young gentleman who met me to hand over the keys was very kind, helpful and polite. Our first night was met with no hot water in the shower. I did send a message and had no response. Very disappointing. I have just spent 3 weeks on holiday in Cairns and Port Douglas. The service and commitment we received from both the Oaks Resort and the Niramaya Resort was nothing short of spectacular. Having no parking available after hiring a vehicle for our stay was again appalling. We had to pay and find parking each day. What hotel does not have parking facilities? Absolutely ridiculous. It’s not as if I paid to stay in a backpackers hostel!! I was even sent a message to advise that no dirty dishes were to be left, to turn all lights off and also the air conditioning. Well, that was the icing on the cake…. NOT!!!!! Amanda Ebzery
