'Calypso' @ Mango Lagoon Resor

It was perfect for the price, the location was quiet and Palm Cove is gorgeous. Positive: The separation of the studio and main apartment as I travelled with a work colleague . There was a coffee machine and tv in the studio which I wasn't expecting as this was not mentioned when I booked, comfortable bed. The main apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Nice to have shampoo etc included. Negative: Studio was a little tired. I had to work out how to turn on the lamps as they were unplugged so I had to pull out the bed then I worked out that I had to run an extension cord to connect the coffee machine. Wasn't ideal initially, but once I worked it out it was ok. It would have been nice to have somewhere to hang clothes. Dishes in the main apartment were not all clean even though they were in the cupboard, so maybe its best to advise guests to put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the housekeepers put them away to ensure they have been washed.

The venue itself was very pleasant however I was unaware I was booking with a third party. This was not made clear at th Positive: The curtains fell down narrowly missing me and no one came to put them in place. The grilled was filthy and could not be used. The fridge was too cold and food turned to ice. Negative: As above

Positive: The facilities and location was beautiful! The place was clean and airy, easy to get to local restaurants and bars. Palm Cove is in the middle of Cairns and Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation. Easy to drive with car. Hiring a car is reccommeded, great parking facilities too.

Positive: The room was fantastic everything we needed for a self contained holiday. The swimming pool was amazing. Drinks at the bar in the late afternoon was wonderful. Being close to public transport made it easy to get around. We really enjoyed our stay, a truly beautiful resort.

We loved our time there!! Very relaxing!! Positive: Spacious and well decorated. Plenty of room for a family. Terrific outdoor area as well. Great communication from booking to departure.
