Carinya Pavilion - Luxury minutes from the Beach

Highly recommend - Will stay again if we return to Cairns. Positive: Quiet and private with great plunge pool. Very comfortable bedding with aircon keeping us cool in the heat and humidity. Negative: Nothing.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, very comfortable, and beautifully located in a quiet area just a short 5-minute walk from the sea. The property itself is truly lovely – especially the pool, which we enjoyed every day. Communication with our host was excellent, quick and very friendly. We were also incredibly grateful for the late check-out, which made our travel day so much easier. Highly recommended – thank you for everything!

It was a fantastic holiday. We are saving up to return. Positive: Location was great walking distance to everything and the area where we stayed was very quiet with beautiful views of tree covered hills and tropical gardens. Negative: Struggled to open the side gate to get inside to the key safe.

Not very happy Positive: Location was good few hundred meters away from the beach and all the cafes and restaurants. The property was very clean and well maintained Negative: So many issues. The property is not a villa. It is one bed room house with a small guest house separate from the main house. We are one family and we had to live separate. The guest house is too small and the ceiling very low. The main gate can’t lock so we had to lock all the door. All the mattresses need an immediate upgrade and all the Aircon’s. These things saw better days. The leather sofa is very old. Maybe some people call it vintage but it is not. The bar chairs are super vintage too. The frying pans need to throw away. As for the swimming pool this should be advertised as a kids pool. The total width is less than 2 meters and the total length is about three meters. An adult can’t use this pool.

We were able to relax and enjoy the Cairns/Palm Cove/Port Douglas area with ease while staying at the Carinya Villa and the name was very appropriate. Since we wanted a central location for our Queensland getaway it was perfect. The house was clean, organized, well maintained and supplied. Had a great time with the outdoor space.
